Rare pair of papier-mâché ovals depicting: Jesus the Savior of the world and San Giovannino with "the Lamb of God" and in his hand the stick surmounted by the cross. Area of origin: Bologna. Period “600” Dimensions 70 X 50 cm. The papier-mâché, a ductile and light material, was used as an alternative to others, it has very ancient origins, it was composed of linen fibers, stucco, plaster and color. It flourished in Bologna and Florence and in other parts of Italy.
